OUR PROGRAMS

Sadie Nash sparks and supports learning, leadership skill building and provides space for Nashers to act with love and act for liberation. Our programs can be grouped into the categories of Leadership Development, College & Career Readiness, and Social Justice & Activism.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

  • SUMMER INSTITUTE

    Summer Institute is an award-winning 6-week summer program. Participants in Manhattan, Newark, Queens, and Brooklyn explore themes of power, identity, and privilege; choose elective classes that focus on special topics related to feminism and social justice; build connections with leaders and activists who are trailblazers in their communities; and enjoy field trips to local college campuses and other sites of interest. Open to 9th - 12th grade students who attend school in New York City and Newark.

  • SIBLINGHOOD ACADEMY

    Siblinghood Academy is an afterschool program designed to explore leadership, identity, feminism, and social justice. Participants engage in weekly classes and enrichment activities centered on developing leadership skills, fostering confidence, encouraging self-exploration, and building community. Open to 9th - 12th grade students who attend school in New York City and Newark.

  • SIBLING CIRCLES

    Sibling Circles is a drop-in workshop series focused on mental health and well-being. Through educational healing spaces, participants process life events, engage in open discussion and creative expression, and build skills to navigate the world in ways that uphold the importance of safety and uplift the power of collective care. Open to all current SNLP program participants and Nasher alumni ages 14-22.

  • PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

    Partnership Program lets schools and community-based organizations bring a multi-week, customized leadership class to the young women and gender expansive youth they serve. Open to organizations based in New York City and Newark and participants ages 11-22.

COLLEGE & CAREER READINESS

  • LEADERSHIP SCHOLARS

    Leadership Scholars is a semester-long program exploring post-secondary education and career options. High school juniors explore issues of educational injustice, learn about past and present examples of student activism, and get a head start on their journey beyond high school. Participants attend weekly workshops and take part in projects that inspire them to define what it means to be a leadership scholar. Many participants in Leadership Scholars go on to participate in Nash U during their senior year. Open to 11th grade students in New York City and Newark.

  • NASH U

    NASH U is a year-long intensive program that provides special support for high school seniors applying to college. In addition to weekly classes that guide students through the application process, we offer one-on-one meetings with a college advisor, peer support, financial aid workshops, college panels, and college trips. Open to 12th grade students in New York City and Newark.

SOCIAL JUSTICE AND ACTIVISM

  • ELLA (ENGAGE, LEARN, LEAD, ACT)

    ELLA (ENGAGE, LEARN, LEAD, ACT) is a year-long fellowship that provides training and resources as fellows design, implement, and present original social justice projects. Fellows meet for monthly retreats and receive a stipend, project budget, and the support of peers and mentors as they address a social issue by building on the unique assets of their communities. Open to young adults ages 18 - 22 who are based in New York, New Jersey, or an area within a 2-hour commute to NYC.

  • ACTION PROJECT

    Action Project is a year-long fellowship opportunity that supports high school students as they bring a social justice project to life in their community. The program explores topics such as identity, activism, feminism(s), self-care, collective care, and more. Open to 9th - 12th grade students who attend school in New York City.
